The National Securities Commission (Comisión Nacional de Valores - CNV) is the public organization in charge of promoting, regulating, wathching and supervising the capital market; having legal personality and its own patrimony, independent from the National State Treasury. The Comission is assigned to the Financial Ministry to the effects of the administrative trusteeship; and will benefit from tax exemptions, privileges and exemptions of fiscal, tributary and procedural order that the laws of the Republic grant to the National State Treasury. Members of the Directory Board are named by the President of the Republic.
